My parents called me yesterday with the sad news that our family dog 'Roy' had passed away. I guess I never thought he was getting older, and just assumed he would keep on going on. It's going to be very strange visiting my parents now, not having Roy go crazy greeting me at the front door. Some might think it silly (as he was a dog), though he was part of the family for a long time and will be missed terribly :)
Oh - sorry to hear about Roy. They really are little people family pets, and I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteTake care, and go for a walk in the sunshine my friend. I'll be thinking of you. :)
Thanks Michelle - it was a very sad drive home from work yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they so are little people - and they really do love you unconditionally.
RIP Roy
ReplyDeleteSounds like he had a long happy life.
I don't think that's silly at all Daniel. My dog died in an house fire a few years ago...and it was just like loosing a family member. We all loved her. I understand perfectly. I am sorry for your loss.I hope that there is an animal heaven where they all can get together and play around like animals do. Anyhoo..you take care. My prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the loss. It's a huge thing to lose a part of the family.
ReplyDeleteThat's very sad. It seems like it was not that long ago when I saw little Roy.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
I don't think it's silly either... Daniel, just getting in touch with what's happening around AAF and thought I'd drop into your Blog...
ReplyDeleteMy loss of Coco and recently our family dog too has me feeling for all those who have lost their fur friends...
It's strange visiting my parents... with no Prince in the backyard... it really isn't the same.
